The Armani outfits at the Monaco wedding

Chanel may have been worn by Charlene Wittstock for her civil ceremony but the Armani big guns came out for the rest of the wedding formalities and celebrations.

Coupled with the fact that Giorgio Armani is my favourite designer on the planet, here is a run down of the GA outfits at the Monaco wedding.

Promise to add more detail soon.

Charlene & her father at the religious ceremony.

Charlene at the evening reception

Mr Armani & his niece Roberta at the religious ceremony
Roberta looks after his VIP clients - she has an LA base - when he came to Australia a few years ago for the opening of the new Sydney boutique, she was with him - photos of this shin dig in a later post.

Roberta at the evening reception (dying to see her shoes, due to interesting choice of clutch colour)

Charlene's family, L to R, Gareth, Lynette & Sean

Gareth & Sean at evening reception (Sean's girlfriend not outitted by GA - I love her frock but her hair (growing out bangs?) is questionable...

Princess Mathilde of Belgium at the religious ceremony
(she also wore GA Prive in teal for the Kate/William wedding - see my previous blog)

Pretty sure this is Queen Paola of Belgium at the reception

All photos from the GA web site.

  2. Postcript: There is alot of the fabric from Queen Paola's dress in the Prive couture collection for 2011. The other previous public appearance of gowns in that fabric were Anne Hathaway at the 2011 Oscars in a cobalt column (she wore about 7 frocks that night, so you have to sift through them to find it) & Penelope Cruz in a red column at the Munich premiere of the Pirates of the Caribbean.

  3. The photo with the lady in red is one with Princess Mathilde of Belgium. Not Queen Paola. The man next to Mathilde is Jacques Rogge. President of the Olympic Commitee.
