Well, this aint no royal wedding, but there were some note worthy looks....I have had some time pressure with this one & have kept the banter light....
But dear readers, I need your help with this one - as I am not a close follower of Australian soaps & the like, I need your help to identify some of the actresses pictured....would love you to add the names in the comments box at the bottom. I have also got some black dressed ladies without their designer names & anyone who knows me knows black is my fave colour for evening...so i desperately need the names of the actresses so I can track down their designer names.....please, please add names where I have missed them....many hands make light work....
Any general feedback is also always welcome...
For those in the northern hemisphere, the Logies are the Australian equivalent of the Emmys - TV not movies....
Here we go...no holes barred....
Zoe Ventoura in Rachel Gilbert - really lovely! well done.
Zoe Tuckwell Smith - the zig zags are too sharp, too in your face, the skirt part looks like granny's nightie....but the face is the worst - way too much work - looks like a kewpie doll....yuck.
Tiffany Hall - a bit princess-y & a bit "done"
would have been nice to see her figure more
Terry Biviano - shoe designer & socialite in Hermes head to toe
Love it - but not sure its appropriate for the Logies - after all it is in Australia & its TV.....
However I am a fan of more overseas designers for our local girls - so much more variety...so pints for her choice in that regard....
Tara Dennis - no pints from me on this - a bit blobby!
Susie Elelman - lets just move on....
Sonia Kruger - I quite like this....
Sigrid Thornton - I love this whole look ....but the shoes are a bit boring...
Shelly Craft - love, love, love, even with the in your face flower....
Shane Bourne's partner - lovely dress for a 16 yo without big boobs - but very age innapropriate here. tacky, tacky, tacky...oh & she has a very oval/long face & the hair does nothing to balance that....aaagghhh....
Sarah Murdoch in Roland Mouret...divine - she heard my call for more overseas designers....I love her...always lovely
Sandra Sully - I'd love to see the rest of this & it looks like George Fungus is getting a look instead
Samara Weaving in Pallas Couture - love, love, love including the bed hair
Rhonda Birchmore - great colour, reasonable shape, love the shoes...overall great
Rebecca Judd - ethereal...divine....
Rebecca Breeds in Rachel Gilbert - nice one!
Racheal Finch does the Grecian look pretty well, although I am not convinced that shade of purple is the best for her
Nolene Brown - lets leave it at that
Natarsha Berlling - i love, love, love this especially the necklace-neckline combo.
This woman usually gets it right.
Natalie Gruzlewski - quite lovely & soft - the loose flowing hair goes well with the look
Myf Warhurst - too much belly encased on a thin satin fabric - not very forgiving....hopefully better next time
Michelle Bridges - hhmm, perhaps with a softer belt & that colour kills her in a bad way....& there is SO much going on....perhaps less is more next time Michelle
Melissa Bergland in Hellpixie form Melbourne - a great source of 50s fashion
Not a fan of the sleeves on her, love the colour & definitely admire her spunk - she carries it off
Megan Gale in a custom halter Alex Perry...divine as always
& the earrings.....
Masterchef's Poh Ling Yeow - not flattering - too many lumps & bumps - prefer her food
Margot Robbie - hmm...passable, I think I dont like that cami shape under the black lace...its out of sorts...overall the dress is quite nice though
Go Madga! You rock the plus size looks. Love you my dear!
Lynne McGranger - hhmm, a tiered tent...interesting....next!
Jana Wendt - always classy - note to self - find full length shot & get name of designer....
Livinia Nixon - she can do better - I cant deal with the shape of that leathery look & in fact that whole leathery look upper part of the dress...interesting but weird....
another look - maybe its OK? nope....move on....
Lisa McCune - some may say boring but i love, love, love.
Love the sparklies, love the figure, love the navy- great alternative to black especially on someone with fair colouring
Lisa Wilkinson with THAT man....love the contrast earrings (very Cameron Diaz), love the bare neck with those, love the decolletage ....would love to see the rest of this....
Libby Tanner - love this! great look, where can I get one please?
Lee Furlong - lovely, classy, great front & back....
Leisel Jones - too tent-y & all she's doing is emphasising the swimmer's shoulder...try again....
Lauren Phillips - picture perfect, great shape & colour. This dress loves her & so do we.
Patti Newton - too mother of the bride here...she is an attractive lady - can do better
Lauren Newton - this is OK, but a very summery look - not sure it translates well for May....
Lara Dundovic in Charlie Brown - a bit too much fake tan, but overall I love it.
Kelly Landry reminding us she is pregnant & not fat...hmm...not sure I ma a fan of the hair either..
and at the after party....i like this...great colour for her....
Katie Perry - well what can we say, next....
Kat Stewart in J'Aton - divine (bit she does need to eat a good meal)
Katherine Hicks - quite lovely, elegant, nothing too risky but classic
Cassandra Thorburn - HIS wife, she gets points for putting up with him.
the dress is quite nice on her - great colour too.
But I freaked when I saw this view...totally gross!
Kerri Anne - normally is dressed by Alex Perry for night & George Gross for day.
This looks like George Gross but I am not sure....I hate it....its too mumsy...
Justine Clarke - this got panned, but I quite like it....although the bracelet is a bit "day" & not appropriate
Julie Goodwin - please stick to food. The shape & seaming add pounds, many of them & the colour makes her look grey in the face....horrible
Jordy Lucas - I love, love, love this. I love, love, love her face, very pretty. The dress is Anaessia Sydney dress, Antons Jewellers yellow diamond earings and cocktail ring, Dolce & Gabbana clutch and Emco shoes. Apparently she only spent $40 on the shoes - budgetista.
Jolene Anderson - not doing alot of favours to her waist - would hate to see what she looked like if she wasnt in that pose & to the side..fatty arms too...great colour though....
Johanna Griggs - could do SO much better..even the hair looks like a square mop...next...
Jessie J....no words are appropriate....have better things to do with my time....
Jessica Marais - love, love, love. Rocks this look. Totally. Cute fringing on the hem too, lovely back, front, every which way....
However has the stunned mullet look - a bit too much botox?
& her is the over botoxed look again....oops.
another look....
Jenifer Keyte - too much make up & oh, its a tent dress...can definitely do better & we have seen her do better....
The Irwins...Bindi is badly fitted & mum is tacky, again....
check out the litttle one's shoes! not something Suri Cruise would be seen in.
& mum's dress looks SO cheap....stick to the outdoors ladies - or get a stylist....
Deni Hines - jury's out
Helen Kapalos - glam, would love to see the rest...very nice so far!
Hayley Lewis - very nice, I likey! even the white belt/bow thing...what is that?
Gigi Edgley - she has tremendous resources at her disposal...& she ends up in a prom dress...that makes her belly look layered....totally yuck.
Rachel Griffiths.....classy neck up...looking for a full length shot...
Rebecca Gibney in Lisa Ho - mixed feelings here...love the concept, but I would have tightened it at the waist or boned it, so it gave her a waist...otherwise perfect & i loved the colour, the hair & that cuff - I want that cuff! Great face, botox is under control here.
Giaan Rooney at the ceremony..i like this, but i think it'll get panned...
and at the after party...what the?
The sass & bide girls - love their looks - eclectic & well, just so them.
Deborah Mailman - frankly i love it. Apparently others dont. Happy they arent writing this blog then! She rocks.
I REALLY like this frock....
Freya Stafford in Jack Loder, a Sydney 22 year old design student who made the frock in a week. I quite like it - love her posture too! She owns it, thats for sure.
Fifi Box - can do SO much better & the chunky necklace with that dress...yeerruucckkkk.
I dont think this woman has a waist in that dress...next...
Esther Anderson - in Alex Perry - I would love, love, love this if it wasnt over exposed. Megan Gale wore it on the catwalk 5 months ago & it made most of the papers...Esther was sleeping under a rock at the time...& Alex should have told her.....
and here it is on the runway at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week when? today!!!
too too much exposure...
Essie Davis - nice lines around the hip, but kills her waist...hmm..not quite prefect, needs some tweaking....love her face, hair & earrings though....
Erin McNaught in Carla Zampatti - perfection
Elsie Nicholson - I shouldnt hang her until I see the full dress, but so far, so bad...even the cups arent fitting her properly.....
Denise Drysdale - a bit too theatre than Logies ....unless you're 16 & hot, you shouldnt wear pants to a black tie event like this.
Claire Hooper - busting out of her frock, literally...hate that ruffled tulle hem...makes her look like 12 years old....hair is SO boring....
Chrissie Swan - pregnant & rocking it! go girl!
Cheree Cassidy - hmm...another tent....doesnt do her justice....& where is the jewellry, any jewellery?
Charlotte Dawson - look amazing in Alex Perry - I know she's had tones of work, but I think she looks great, always.
Cartiona Rowntree - pre baby she used to get it right, post baby she has a great figure but he sense of style has gone down the gurgler....someone save her please...I hate this....too Vicki Mar!
Catherine McClements - love it boobs & up, including the necklace but hate the messy hair....
below the boobs - how unflattering can this be!?
Carrie Bickmore....words fail me, love, love, love it, back, front all views.... Baccini & Hill dress with accessories by House of Baulch ...
Brynne Edelstein - apparently she got the date confused and thought the event was a week later - so she rustled this up at the last minute...the verdict? HUGE, HUGE improvement..although I wonder about those creepy crawleys on her shoulder.....
Ashleigh Brewer in Pamela Usanto (the Lady Grace grown) Antons Jewels, Jimmy Choo enamel pop colour Clutch and Alexander McQueen heels - princess-y but age appropriate for a young girl like her... not sure about the Choo purse though & the hair was getting in the way at times...but pretty good...
Asher Keddie in J'Aton. This is my absolute FAVE. Gorgeous figure, love it. Perfectly executed.
Anna Gare - would love to see more - this looks divine!
& as always I'm loving the navy....
Amanda Keller - yuck. End of story. & the bag with that frock...yuck again.
Valentint Novakovic - pretty much love it. Who is the designer I wonder....
This frock is Leona Edmiston current season...the lady is Julian Morrow's (The Chaser) pregnant wife
NOW READERS - this is where I NEED YOUR HELP.
Can you please identify the names of these actresses? Pretty please?
Ignore the men - just the girls
please...then I might be able to get the designer names a bit easier....
would bet all my Hermes scarves this is Alex Perry (from a few seasons ago), but who is this girl?
all 3 women in this photo please....
who is the lady in the white gown (from Rafters)?
Girl in what looks like bustier is from winners and losers - Melanie Vallejo
ReplyDeleteGirl in white from rafters - full length pic of dress at this link - but no mention of her name http://au.tv.yahoo.com/packed-to-the-rafters/galleries/article/-/article/9297869/image/13/the-rafters-hit-the-red-carpet/
